Among the U-Cargo Lite cargo e bike features: 

• The Step’N’Load, a platform that allows your children, especially older ones, to put their feet up during the trip and get on and off the U-Cargo easily when at standstill!
• The central kickstand gives you stability when loading and unloading your cargo e bike. Plus: you can activate and deactivate it without using your arms, you only need your feet!
• Its top-of-the-range Shimano brakes offer a pleasant ride.

Additional options 

• You can also have an extra space by adding the optional front rack (included in the Family version) or the closed, waterproof box: you can carry up to 20 extra kilos / 44 extra lbs.
•  You can also choose an optional 630 Wh battery, with an 110 km / 68 miles range (522 Wh battery included).

U-Cargo options

You can choose your U-Cargo with the classic configuration including a 522 Wh battery. It is also possible to choose for your long tail electric bike an additional 630 Wh battery to replace your 522 Wh battery.

You can also choose between a standard front basket or a closed waterproof box (to carry a further 20 kg / 44 lbs).

Closed front box

A closed, waterproof box to protect your belongings

The U-Cargo Family is already equipped with a classic front basket, but it is completely possible to change this and opt for this closed box. The U-Cargo Lite and Junior do not have these systems, but you can add this box and transport loads of up to 20 kg / 44 lbs or 60 L / 15 gal protected from the elements.

Our cargo e bike advantages

The central feature of the U-Cargo is our unique rear rack that allows you to fit a majority of child-seats available on the market as well as travel bags (Thule, Decathlon, Polisport, Ortlieb…). Convenient and universal!

Thanks to the Bafang Go app, you can link your phone to this electric cargo bike’s motor and get information about your journey and your use (distance travelled, battery life).

The special frame design along with an adjustable handlebar allow maximum comfort for many users on the same bike.

A simple manual lever placed on the handlebars allows you to start the motor without pedaling, so you don’t have to provide the initial effort to start riding (which can be difficult, especially on hills and/or with weight).

The cargo e bike footboards can also be used as cargo space. The sides are covered with textile so it can hold up to 110L: a cargo e bike for children and groceries! In the Family version, the steps can also be used as a support for loads. The walls are covered with textile and can hold up to 110 L: an electric cargo bike for children and shopping!

Textile system that turns the children’s seat into a storage space to hold loads or belongings. This way you can easily and quickly turn your family bike into a cargo bike.

A spacious rack to carry bags, cargo or belongings. The rack can easily be removed.

A built-in separator between the two child seats so that they can hold on to each other during your journeys. Can be easily removed.

Delivery details

You have several options:
Home delivery: The U-Cargo is delivered to your home on a suitable pallet. It is assembled and ready to roll. You just have to unpack it.

Technicentre delivery: The U-Cargo is delivered in one of our partner workshops. They will receive it and assemble your U-Cargo. In addition to helping you get started, you will also have technical tips in terms of monitoring and maintenance. We have many partners available. We will give you your referring workshop contact details once you have ordered your U-Cargo.

Free delivery in our premises: You can pick your U-Cargo up at our premises in France (40 rue Decomberousse, 69100 Villeurbanne).
